About us

Sóskút Fruct Ltd. was founded in 1997 with Hungarian owners. Our site and orchards are located in Sóskút near Budapest, a region with a long tradition of stone fruit growing.

Beyond quality and environmentally sound production, our aim is to build reliable, long-term partnerships that serve the satisfaction of both buyer and grower.

We sell both in Hungary and abroad, and have built excellent long-term cooperation with small and large companies on these markets.

Our fruits

Four species,
twenty-one varieties

Since 1998 we have been planting table varieties alongside the industrial ones. These orchards have provided a significant volume of marketable fruit since 2003.

Technology

From the orchard
to the pallet

In the summer of 2005 we commissioned a modern cold store with a capacity of 100 tonnes, together with a grading line for sizing stone fruit. Harvest, storage and delivery can therefore be planned as one process.

Alongside the grading line we operate a netting machine and a flow-pack machine, so we pack in crates and in boxes alike.

Quality assurance

Certified growing,
audited packing

We operate several quality assurance systems in parallel in order to meet the requirements of quality production in every respect.

G.A.P.

GLOBALG.A.P.

Our production is certified under the international GLOBALG.A.P. scheme: plant protection, occupational safety, environmental impact and documentation under controlled conditions.

IFS

IFS and Tesco standards

Post-harvest grading and packing in the cold store is carried out according to IFS and Tesco standards, with regular external audits.

LOT

Full traceability

Applying these systems together ensures that every lot can be traced back from the consumer all the way to the orchard.
